Himalaya By Bike (Jun 2005)
Himalaya By Bike
In June 2005 three friends and I took an epic two-week bike trip through Kashmir and Ladakh in the Indian Himalaya. Four days into the trip my primary camera lens broke, leaving me with just a telephoto lens. A number of these pictures, therefore, are courtesy of Gabe McGann (including some that I probably forgot to credit him for). Thanks, Gabe!

In the distance we spied the 20,000-foot Ladakh Range, which is the northern edge of the Indus Valley. The range is traversed by what is supposedly the world's highest road - the Khardung La at 18,380 feet. Gabe and I were planning to cross it in a couple of days!
